just some food for thought about taking the photos. straight on pics of people are usually not the most flattering. there's a book of straight on photos of famous people....god it's scary looking at some of those photos.

There are many ways around that. A lot of the 365 pictures are hastily taken camera phone shots emailed in at the last second.

I'm on my fourth attempt at the 365 challenge. I failed last time about 46 days in. But last time I was trying to be more creative with my pictures and it seemed like more of a JOB than fun which is what it's supposed to be. Being creative is cool because some of my pictures hit Explore, but I couldn't do that EVERY day. So this time I figured I'd do the creative shots when I have the time but not feel bad about the above mentioned last minute submissions.

I am mostly using this as an excuse to get better with my $400 camera. At the moment I don't have a lot of requirements so taking pictures on a regular basis is no problem at all tbh.

As for things that might get in the way, as long as I have a camera around I am fine. I just need to take a picture of myself each day and if I can't get to a computer to upload them at that time well its not a big deal. As long as I do upload them asap.

this would be a lot of fun for me. especially when i deploy and can take pictures of myself wearing my fighting load and kevlar, holding an m16, et cetera. the only difficulty would be carrying around a digital camera everywhere for a year... so i'd probably have to get disposables or something...

anyhow, very cool idea. i hope you are able to accomplish it.

i think i'll do this as well. heck. a good excuse to get some more myspace pictures up. plus i might be able to get some interesting pictures of my interests and lifestyle.

Im not going to say it again, the point isn't to make one of those stupid movies. It is to take pictures of myself in whatever way I choose.

Yeah, the point is to meet the challenge. Anyone that thinks it's an easy thing to do, obviously hasn't tried to do it.

Was sitting in the car waiting for it to warm up. Earlier my battery was dead when I tried to start it, and I had to have my brother come and jump it for me.

I agree. Not only for our entertainment but as an archive of your life. That pic where you're waiting in your car for example -- you'll probably remember that moment for the rest of your life so long as you keep these pictures.

I tend to use headphones on my computer. Not to mention it was late and people are trying to sleep. I also prefer to wear headphones when playing my 360.

Well I haven't had much structure lately, so this gives me something to look forward to each day no matter how minute it is.
