360 Controller Options

As some of you know my son has MD. Well his mobility is really starting to become limited. He LOVES playing games of course and now he's starting to have problems using his PS3 and 360 controllers. Specifically......pressing down on the joystick. Since most games wont allow you to remap the controls, are there any 360 controllers out there that you're aware of that might be easier for him to use? Hell even a mod you've seen?

It has extra shoulder buttons which can replace pretty much whatever (for example, the joystick clicky buttons which a majority dislike)

edit: also the tension required for the clicking on the joysticks is adjustable!

That's too much movement for him. Thumbs only for him at this point.
