So is Absinthe legal or not?

I have a buddy who has friends in Germany that drink this stuff all of the time, and we were checking out this site and they appear to ship it to the US. Is it legal or not? :-k

It ain't. What a shame. I actually enjoy the taste quite a bit. Plus, the side effects.

it's illegal but if you order it from an out of country reputable source you should be fine.

My buddy's friend (Doctor Feldman, go figure) comes to Cincinnati from time to time, I keep trying to get him to get me a bottle that way.

I need to get my hands on that again, those online places are legit BTW. The bottles that are more expensive than the rest have the high concentrate of wormwood. A good 1/5 size bottle is $80-$100. The stuff most places have in canada have a low concentrate of wormwood and you dont really get the effects of the wormwood because it has soo much alcohol. It's usually around 150-190 proof, but a good bottle you only need 1-2 shots for good effects.

And about going blind, drinking any grain alcohol in excess will cause that.

You can get it in legally as a "collector"... there are various customs forms that need to be filled out, etc...
