The range is impressive! It's on par with my GMC Canyon. The specs are pretty decent. Where is it made? The new Caddy Ev is made in China. http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/comp...id-cadillacs-from-china/ar-AAklnA7?li=BBnbfcN I don't know if "final assembly" origin will negate a possible penalty from the Trump team for drivetrain (S. Korea) components made by LG. With the possible tariffs coming down the pike for imported goods, the price may go up and the subsidy disappear ($7000). So the price may end up closer to $40,000.00 It'll be interesting to see. http://www.cheatsheet.com/automobil...-will-the-chevy-bolt-ev-score.html/?a=viewall http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/comp...-trumps-proposed-tariff/ar-AAkkCBc?li=BBnbfcN
I think it's made near Detroit. Not sure of the whole process though. In the past few years Chevy has made a lot of their chassis in Korea I think. I know Ford heavily uses Nafta benefitting Mexican labor and parts. It'll be interesting to see how American car companies can make cars competitively priced in the USA if we go back on those deals. And yep those federal rebates are likely going away!
Finally drove one of these. Pretty incredible. It's whisper quiet. Makes a Cadillac sound like a tractor. Chevy did a great job (outsourcing) on the build quality of the car. It's also pretty quick and fun to drive.
