I'm running the tech preview and I really like it. A few things I'd like changed, the cool thing is there's a windows feedback application where you can submit changes and vote on changes to the OS. I had to download the Nvidia Windows 8.1 driver to get my monitors working.

Basically this OS is what Windows 8 should have been.

    Some annoyances I have:
Once you link it with a Live account you have to use that account to login
Search on the start bar seems to search the web

Otherwise I really like the OS.

I haven't noticed a difference, some additional settings. Although right after I installed the update my NICs stopped working, I had to remove and reinstall them from device manager before they worked again.

    I totally skipped 8. I don't even know if I'll try 10.

Since I'm on 8, rumor says I'll be getting 10 for free. That might just be for Indonesia, though. I'm actually happy with 8.1 update 1, so I won't be heartbroken if it's not true

Well I had my first major problem. I would go to the windows desktop and the desktop would flash repeatedly. I could CTRL+ALT+DEL and get task manager up. A application named Thumbnail Handler Extraction Host was filling up the task manager. I tried using another account to remove all picture and video files my my main account, but nothing worked. I chose the reset options to fresh install (pressing shift while clicking on reset gives you the advanced reboot menu). I probably should have done the fresh install anyways but oh well. All is good now.

I do wonder about Windows Update just generally, anymore. It seems like we all have to uninstall at least one update a month for buggy behavior the last half year, like the showstopper root certificate update for Windows 7. I wonder if Windows 10 will suffer from the... less than stellar... update testing, as well...

It will move the application across the screen like you're dragging it to a corner. WK+left= 1/2 left side of screen, WK+right= 1/2 right side of screen. If you have a dual screen setup it will allow it to do this on each monitor.

It was announced that 10 will be a free upgrade for 7 and 8 users. Sounds like a good deal to me. Apparently though there's a time limit to the free upgrade.

That's the only way I'd consider getting it.
