I agree. points to consider: 1) the second amendment has nothing to do with hunting or sporting. It's about defending our communities from enemies both foriegn and domestic. 2) what do court houses, government buildings, police stations have that schools don't? Metal detectors with alarms. no judges, state/federal officials, congress members, etc have been shot in those buildings. Nor has there been any mass killings in buildings protected in that manner. 3) adequate mental health is something our respected states and federal government cut funding for many decades ago and now it's next to nill. I have to summize that this whole gun control shit has nothing to do with protecting schools. It's mostly about disarmament and it started long ago (1961) with a push by the UN to basically disarm the world. It's all for our own "civil protection" :

Yup, the media has never made a big deal about any inauguration ever. Certainly not the second inauguration of our first Black president that is occurring (the public one at least) on the yearly holiday we have celebrating a slain Civil Rights activist. Nor is it a big deal since only one third of presidents get elected and this one is only the sixth Democratic one to be reelected. No worries though, just hang out in your bunker for the next week or so and it'll all blow over.
I don't think it's any secret democrats have wanted stricter gun control laws for quite some time. I'm not really against the laws, I just don't really like pushing agenda through tragedy. I also don't like reactionary law.
I agree with the last part, that's how we got the patriot act, the department of homeland security, and two wars. However, if the democrats have been pushing for stricter gun laws for years then it's not really reactionary and is instead opportunistic (as you pointed out).

Intersting thoughts (I haven't had time to check this shit out but thought the R vs. L crap was funny): Fact : I'm neither repub or dem and I do enjoy sitting in the middle watching the jousting. One thing I have noticed about dems though. They do not like it when anyone else uses their tactics and scream bloody murder when that other person wins using the rules/methods they use. Repubs can be the same way, only with more of a "my way or the highway" mentality.
