    Alright so I reeeeaaalllly want to make some chocolate chip cookies but I only have;
Milk, sugar, all purpose flour, baking powder, eggs and of course chocolate chips.

I've been searching the internets for recipes but they all call for brown sugar baking soda and vanilla extract as well, but I do not have these ingredients and I REAAALLLY WANT TO MAKE THEM NOW!

Do any of you know how to make chocolate chip cookies with only ingredients I have?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

the extract isn't a must... you can substitute brown sugar with honey if your flour isn't self rising.. i don't know how the hell your going to bake without baking soda

you can just buy cookie dough and bake it if your lazy like me :p

Replace the brown sugar with a little extra sugar and like 2tbsp of honey. Not sure about the vanilla extract. It shouldn't affect the outcome of the cookies themselves though, just might seem like they're missing a little something.

But they're gonna turn out pretty cakey without brownsugar, me thinks.

If you had self-rising flour, you could get away without baking soda. Almond extract would work instead of vanilla. You can use a cup of white sugar with a couple tablespoons of molasses instead of brown sugar. But the white sugar is grainier than brown, so go easy on it if you use it instead of brown.
    Good Luck

    :)

Made cookies a few days ago and I just put a pan of shortbread in the oven, fuckin' munchies... ;)

You'll definitely want baking soda if you want normal (i.e. not flat) chocolate chip cookies, but if you have butter you can make some shortbread cookies. Say the word and I'll hook you up with my recipe.

We just moved in to this basement suite from living at his mom's place so we literally had nothing for food when we moved out. All I've bought for baking so far is all purpose flour, for some reason I bought baking powder instead of soda, sugar, milk and eggs. No extracts, no brown sugar, no molasses.

It's a sad day for my munchies......:( They're left unsatisfied.

I made tacos for dinner today though MUUUUUNCH

What, are you out in the middle of the Arctic or something? ALL of the ingredients could be purchased from a grocery store for what, $3? Is the store far away or something?

If you got the munchies and go shopping at the grocery store, there is no way in hell you are walking out of there having spent only $3. Unpossible!

She may have enough ingredients to make snickerdoodles and put chocco chippers in them.

Yes. This is a neighbor-bonding moment, where you show up asking for some Baking Soda in return for a cookie-kickback, and the neighbors tell you they don't cook, so they don't have any, and you all end up feeling the no-cookie-blues...

When you got the munchies, EVERYTHING is a "missing ingredient", at least last time I was stoned. ;)

Actually, non-imitation vanilla is REALLY expensive, and a small bottle of the fake stuff is at least $2. No way you're getting out of any grocery store with vanilla, baking soda and brown sugar for less than $3. Unless you wear a big coat, or large cargo pants or something.

Nay, everything is a POSSIBLE ingredient.

Oh, btw, pilsbury slice and bake are the best choc chip cookies in the world (when they're still warm) in my opinion, better than any homemade I've ever had. My family loves these c.c. cookies I make from scratch, and I think they're ass compared to what the little dough boy's got going on. So I would save the ingredients, time and effort and do that. Plus you can make as few as you want.

Save the ingredients you DO have for pancakes. Although you're not going to get very far baking with no vanilla in the house! :) Like I said, it's expensive, but I've used imitation and real and have never noticed a difference AT ALL. Solid and necessary kitchen investment :)

Speaking of random tasty things... I found out last night that Nutella is super tasty on Doublestuffed Heads or Tails Oreos. :p

I broke down and finally tried Nutella, and it's amazing (in a bad way) how much sugar is in that stuff! I have a ton of saltines left over from Steak-n-Shake takeouts (do I really need FIVE packets of saltines with one cup of chili?), and I just used them as the base to keep the Nutella off my fingers. Mostly. :)

It hurts, because it's so true... :crybaby:

But yeah, I guess the vanilla is kinda expensive. I bought a big bottle of extract in Mexico so I take it for granted.

Hahaha, wellll I ended up getting off my sick, lazy ass and driving 5 minutes down the road to Save On. I got bulk ingredients:
    250grams brown sugar
about 60 grams of baking soda
a small bottle of Pure Vanilla Extract
and a 3 pack of 1 cup sticks of Crisco
    Total approximately $11

And I was carrying Lily in an Ergo Baby carrier and she falls asleep everytime so by the time I was getting those things, I decided to let her sleep a little longer and walked down the isles a couple times I'm sure someone must have thought it was suspicious because this little old lady was around every corner. I'm guessing she was a secret shopper or something. Anyways, I ended up spending $43 on random shit.

I baked the cookies at 10pm, last night! They turned out perrrrrrf!!
