This guy blew past a cop going 100mph into the median and then... http://www.wdtn.com/dpp/news/video:-i-675-crash-caught-on-tape
my jaw dropped. looks like KITT tried to pull a dukes of hazard. ended up sideways. that car ASPLODED.
Damn that was intense! That kid is definitely lucky to be alive and should be glad he didn't injury anyone else with his careless driving.
I saw a fairly spectacular crash, cars flew through the air in every direction on impact. The kid didn't make it. He ended up hamburger crammed underneath the dashboard. The first cop to look inside the driver's side window puked his guts out. It turns out the kid stole the car 2 blocks before the cops lit him up and he took off at top speed. They were pulling him over for a rolling stop.
See, I was kinda pissed to find out this kid has survived. That was definitely a moment of natural selection.
what if his accelerator pedal was stuck, maybe he fell asleep.. im waiting on investigation to see why he was going so fast like that.
That made the news here, that was a crazy wreck. I saw a similar crash driving down on 23 towards Columbus several years ago. I was in the southbound lane and it was pretty early in the morning so there wasn't a lot of traffic on the road. I noticed this boat of an old Cadillac in the northbound lane floating back and forth in the lanes. I thought the guy was drunk and just wanted to get past him. Next thing I know he rolls down in the median and launches off an irrigation pipe that was running through the median. The car went vertical and I saw the complete underside of the car and rear bumper was probably 5 feet off the ground. The car continued to roll back and it eventually landed upside down in the median. I grabbed my cell called 911 and went back to see if anyone in the car was still alive. As I was on the phone with a 911 operator, a state cruiser just happened along and pulled over to help out. Another showed up and asked me what happened. I later found out the guy had fallen asleep at the wheel. He lived, his tank like Cadillac pretty much saved his life. There was just no spectacular overpass smashing in the wreck I saw. Seeing a huge Cadillac go vertical was pretty cool though.
My sister fell asleep at the wheel on the interstate, quite a few years back, during a move from Texas back to Illinois, and hit the pillar of an overpass head-on at 65 mph. My Mom was in the passenger seat with my baby nephew in her lap (He's married now, so it's been that long ago), and it was a miracle that nobody died. My Mom had the worst injuries, with broken ribs and a broken arm, lots of cuts, and deep bruising (and a concussion, if I remember right). Being a tough old bird even then, she was out of the hospital in two weeks. She still has problems with her shoulder and her hip... she's in her mid-80s now. She seemed to age a lot after that, and it's creepy how people's personalities change after major trauma like that.
^^^ They said it broke into 3 big pieces, but I rolled the footage back and ran it frame by frame and really struggled to make out anything but small random chunks. That guy should be dead.
Imagine the results if the he has not hit the bridge support? He would have flung cleanly over into oncoming traffic. Several people could have died.
i laughed all morning at that gif, thats exactly what i had pictured in my head. did you make that, 86?
Yeah, this looks about right. I hope the fucker is at least messed up for life, paralysis would be good.
