lost xp password due to change of language in keyboard, help

hey guys, i have a friend who changed the language of his keyboard to another language and the keys got really fucked up, so fucked up that when he hits r, k would come up. so this idiot put a password on his xp account before he changed the language of the keyboard and now he cant type the password due to the change of letters, what can he do?thnx

figure out which letter corresponds to which and type in the password. not too hard...

u dont see the letters when u type in your password for xp

but you can type in the username field just fine

not when you are in welcome screen mode

There is a key combination I used to use to change the language of the keyboard when I was typing french essays.

I think I changed the default, but you can try left ALT + SHIFT.

I think another combination (a default this time) is CTRL + SHIFT + 0 (change the number for a different language if 0 doesn't work).

Edit: Oh yeah, and isn't there a keyboard map somewhere? I'm sure you could have one displayed (well, at least with typing in key registration), there's an EN button or something else. Anyway, try the above first.

you can do CTRL+ALT+DEL to get to a login screen if your using XPs Welcome screen

just do this, really, map all the keys and boom, you are on your computer after 1min of work.
