Never been much of a phone person* and I'm way behind the curve. I just got a used HTC Thunderbolt if that tells you anything. My Droid X finally bit the big one. I can't seem to find a free weather widget that has my location, that has wind info, that doesn't have those motherfucking annoying ad nags. The Accuweather widget that came with the phone can't even find Joplin MO let alone my little burg, so it's history. I sorta like this one called 1Weather, but has the nags unless you get the premium version *cough*pay-the-ransom*cough*. Any other cool apps/widgets? I haven't rooted this one (yet) like I did the X. *My experience is when left on, people can CALL YOU on the fackin' things.
I might but I thought I'd ask around first. I rooted the X and put on Cyanagenmod but I thought if I could get this one the way I like I might not mess with that this time. It may be worth it just for the back-up and restore, though.
LOL. Sorry about that. I meant ask around to see if anyone knew of a free one that has those attributes. The thread title was meant to be facetious but I see I didn't make that clear in the OP.
The National Weather Service has a nice mobile page set-up: (This will look funky in a PC web-browser) http://mobile.weather.gov/#typeLocation http://mobile.weather.gov/index.php?lat=37.1034245&lon=-94.54181410000001 Joplin is as close as I can get, but that's not bad. It's not a widget but I can put a direct bookmark on one of my home-pages. And to quote John "Bluto" Blutarsky, "Don't cost nothin'."
