Seems like many places have the gratuity underneath how much you pay for your food bill when you use a credit card or am ex card. Just wondering if anyone leaves a couple bucks under there or more depending on your bill. As of lately I havent because all they do is process your order and I don't feel like they deserve anything worth tipping. I would give a 15% if i felt that the service was good AFTER i received my food and not before.

Hell no! When I'm waited on at a table I'll tip, not just for a cashier or drive-thru window person.

Yes, because when we go out here, we'll leave our dishes/food at the table. Most areas don't have as self-cleaning station or anything and they don't use disposable dishes. But if it's like Taco Bell or something, no way.

I also tip at coffee shops, but not much like $0.50 or something.

    If it's To-Go, nope.

ALSO .. we eat at the same places for lunch every week, so we know most of the employees/owners etc. and the expectations for the quality of food/service.

I won't dine anywhere that my choice to tip or not tip is made for me. If anyone
wants to take any of my choices, they can pay my taxes too.

I almost always tip for specific places. Rancherito's has some of the best food in the area and it's a drive-thru. I'll tip $1 or $2 depending on how many people are working that night (more people working = more tip spread around).

Places like Starbucks and Subway, no. Sit-down restaurants, yes.

I never carry cash so spare change is not a problem.

Sometimes, if the place is really cool but doesn't seem to get a ton of business.
Regular restaurants I always give more if the person was really nice. Doesn't everyone take that into account?

I don't tip at places where there isn't a server unless I'm hanging out having a beer or two after I eat and they bring it to me.

Just want to add a caveat to this. If you're doing takeout from a place that is normally sit down please leave a tip. There is a server who is still making server minimum and doesn't have any tables to make tip off of. You don't have to leave much but 7% is good, 10% if they had to run your food out to you in the cold or rain so your ass didn't have to get wet. :p
