I just found out one of my best friends from high school just got indicted. He is being charged with Aggregated theft. Apparently, when he was a manager of Gamestop he would "trade in games" for cash without actually having the game. The other managers caught on when they looked for the games he traded in, but couldn't find any discs, he just typed in the barcode, and took the cash. Looks like it could be a felon case, as the amt he took was around $10K, but the actual damages were over $20K, since gamestop practically charges double what they pay on used games. We were cool in hs, but once he got out he started being a prick towards all of his friends. He tried to break up my best friend and his GF, by telling her lies about him, basically talking alot of shit about us behind our backs. But karma caught up I suppose. He'll probably be stuck in federal-pound-me-in-the-ass-prison. And he won't survive, he's a total momma's boy that runs his mouth too much.
Yikes - It's funny someone would actually try to get away with something like this taking such an excessive amount of money. If he had stopped at like $300 he'd probably never get caught but surely $10,000 in missing merchandise is going to throw some flags.
yeah, the guy isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, I guess. funny though, he was an honors student and all that jazz with the rest of my friends. btw, I don't have the details yet, but these are the #'s I am hearing from my friends
