My friend who has CoD Modern Warfare doesn't have the internet so he can't play on MS live. He came to my house, made a live account and bought some points and downloaded the three map packs. Now when he plays(offline) he still only has the first nazi zombies map, not the other three which he just downloaded. I saw a few threads saying you need to do a license transfer to be able to play them offline but you can't because he only has one xbox and you can only transfer licenses to another xbox.

Also when he plays offline the new profile on the xbox for live doesn't have the game completed like his normal profile which does. If he completes the game on the new profile that downloaded the map packs will he be able to play the new maps? Is this the issue?

Everyone with this problem I saw is directed to do a license transfer and the whole profile thing is never mentioned. How could he have gotten them on his original profile to start with? If he had made the xbox live profile name the same as his would it have worked? Of course his profile is named chris and it's not available on live.

Could he have connected to live on his xbox the first time and it would have given him the option to change the profile name to an available one? We created his profile on xbox.com.

Please help me understand Microsofts DRM mess please.

You need to call MS support, that is not just a simple license transfer.
