Those are great cut-scene graphics, but I want to see some game play footage before I get excited about it.
My how time flies. The problem with that.....is that it flies downhill and constantly gains momentum as it goes.
You know, I was prepared for a lot of things concerning growing older. But I wasn't remotely ready for how the passing of time accelerates exponentially as the aging process happens. I also wasn't ready for the amount of pain that becomes an everyday thing either. i can't remember what it was like top be pain free. A game I wish would make a current graphics come-back is Quake3.....that shit was fun.
Been playing some UT4 alpha. Unfortunately it will probably be 2015 til the get the important gametypes done like Onslaught/Warfare and vCTF.
Quake 3 Arena was crappy imo. The engine was great but the gme itself was lacking especially to the expectations "Quake" put down years before. They made a bouncy game with lasers! Woooo! Fuck that. We'll see if this new Doom game surfaces from the deep and I hope it does. I just hope it isn't shit like Q3A was.
I never bought Doom 3. I keep all the old classics around, but with modern ports, where I can get it. Though lately, I've been playing Diablo 3 starter edition alot, though how many times can one defeat a Skeleton King before getting bored brainless...
It's out now. $60 on STEAM. Now maybe if they offered me a $30 rebate for having bought Doom 3 I might do it.
Man, you should be all over Quake Live. They made Q3 into a browser game and it rocks (and it's free). It was a big deal a few years ago but I bet it's still active.
Seems folks are calling this "Call of Doomy" or some such. Glory Kills are evidently like Final Fantasy 8 summoning sequences. Great the first few times, but gets really old really fast, but you do them anyway for the health bonuses...
