oooooooooooooo skyrim 1/3 off right now. Been playing a hookie copy, and loving it so if St Nick doesn't spew it forth from his sack tomorrow, Someone's gonna be paying steam a visit!
Sigh. I was just gifted a copy of L4D2 that someone won in the gift giveaway contest, and I recieved a rude shock. I DON'T HAVE ROOM on my HDD!!! That sucker takes up THIRTEEN GIGS just to install it! I uninstalled, Half Life 2, Portal, Day of Defeat Source, Half Life Source, and Track Mania Nations Forever, and I STILL only had just enough room to shoehorn the installation in without playing it!!! (and with Windows nagging me about low disk space) WAAAAAH! Oh well, my nephew gifted me Chantelise and Torchlight, so it's not a total loss...
yea, i'll be installing a spare 80gig just to move A FEW steam games onto. crazy eh? hdd prices are super high right now, so i wont be buying just yet.
im glad the game discounts have been sucking lately, cause my wallet needs a break. is "beat hazard" a good game? i like the music synchronized games
agreed. my backlog is so full right now, I don't feel bad about passing on these deals. also, Portal 2: completely fucking awesome. One of the best, most fun, and funniest games I've ever played.
yes, portal 2 was amazing, i cant wait to install and replay it on the pc in higher res/texture (i played it on the 360) just a word of caution to everyone, be careful of what you buy, some of these games have securom drm (will only let you install so many times). i almost bought test drive 2, then i found out its got securom and everyones having problems.. so i said fugg it. :\ dunno if i'll still buy it or not, but i think i'll save my money and get the "non-drm" version"
Goofus, your whole computer is a rude shock. Assuming you're talking about the system in your signature. You deserve an upgrade my friend.
im sick of these sales. this shit can stop now. edit: gahhdammit, gta pack $12. :\ can anyone tell me is sandbox universe is any good?
I think I'll be on this system till the day I die of extreme advanced triple-digit old age! Blown out tire and HDD prices rocketing into the stratosphere have combined to put new systems even further than before, and really, for what I do, this system still does the job. It's the little engine that could! Let's not talk about the 20+ year old television sets that I've also never upgraded... The one in the bedroom has seen the days of the Carter Presidency!
My "whatif"s are quashed by that Icon of the Catholic Church: Saint Happenin! Broken part replacement is about it. My big excuse will come when my hard drive breaks down, since I don't think they even make PATA drives any more. Till then, I will avoid additional debt burden as long as possible. When that time comes though, I'm always keeping my Newegg wishlists updated! Sandy Bridge mobo with 500 gig Hitachi drive, DVD Burner, 4 Gig of DDR3 1333, and Wolfdale Pentium (Socket H version) 2.6 ghz, Powercolor 5570 with 1 gig of DDR3, and Windows 7 Home Premium SP 64-bit, 1 for about $392, or it's AMD equivalent at about $380. At least the HDD prices seem to be over the hump, and are sloooooowly heading south again. Everything was over $400 a couple of weeks ago.
