Yeah? So nothing is headed in the right direction, only staying the same? A lot more than the economics of select sectors has to change to prevent a repeat of '08. It gets right down to attitudes and lifestyles of every man woman and child.
That's a steal for downtown Austin! And unlike the rest of Texas someplace I'd actually like to live.
I consider myself pretty conservative. I just choose to allow my beliefs to define me, rather than allowing my beliefs to alter someone else's. Although I don't agree with many of the opinions of others on this board, I enjoy the discussions and debates. I still have a lot of respect for (most) everyone on here. ~Will Courtier~
Yeah, you're a moderate. As much as you try to claim you're conservative you tend to hate on both sides pretty equally. You can't get upset if you never post your opinions!
You people are gay and yes we're still fucked in the short term. If you've got the cash to invest then you can make out like a villain. I have kids so I'm fucked.
This is how I've been supporting myself while I go to school. People's cars are gonna break no matter what. I have 3 jobs sitting right now, waiting for me to finish. Diagnosed a bad ECU in a Ram 1500 causing the fuel pump to not turn on, radiator on a '05 Chrysler van, diagnosed a bad ground on a '97 Sonata, oh... and a steering rack on a Legacy. So 4 jobs.
QFT Plus......whenever there is a calamity, there are going to be spoils to be had. I get to work more than full weeks, but now it's for myself and not some jerk-off sitting behind a desk.
Didn't pay cash, that would be awesome. Got a 4% (that is extremely low for those folks that don't know much about mortgages) FHA loan w/ about 5% down. We live(d?) extremely modestly. My wife makes about half what I do and (pre-house) we got our expenses down to where we could live monthly off of her paycheck.
I have really slowed down on posting as of lately. Just not a lot has been going on here, and have had a lot happen. Just did our official wedding, and we are planning for the kid to be born in March. Took two trips back to Iowa within the last month (traveling over 4000 miles total), and have barely managed to maintain what little sanity I had all along. I'll be posting more as I am able. ~Will Courtier~
Psh, way to be living your life instead of posting on the internets dude. LOL. I thought third parties couldn't get any worse. Not only is it a party predicated on the existence of two other parties but they sell their books on the main page!
I couldn't figure that part out, because if you look under their Environment platform, their view on global warming is the current mainstream one, (i.e., it exists and needs to reckoned with). I wish there was a viable centrist party in this country. Actually, I wish there were no political parties. The Founders missed the boat on political parties, perhaps one of their biggest mistakes after not ending slavery.
Senior staff took a 50% pay cut during the recession so we wouldnt have to lay any (more) guys off. I actually ended up racking up a shitload of debt in 09 before I got into the swing of living on much smaller paychecks.
We have two parties in America, the Corporate Party and the Corporate-Lite party. So I guess the platform of this stupid 'centrist-party' is to fuck things up worse than the democrats but not as bad as the republicans? I'm sold!
eh debt can be paid back, unemployment really fucks people. we bounced back really well late last year / this year so everything worked out
Cognitive dissonance can inspire investigation sometimes Thanks for noticing The point is that there is a hoax going on, it's just not the one that some say it is. The earth is warming, the change ins human influenced. My point with the book is that there are a lot more issues that need to be considered in order to achieve solutions that work. It's going to be trickier than many may currently think.
Glad to have you post. Yes, in essence, we are fucked. The will to make the hard choices and treat the causes and not just the symptoms is lacking both with the electorate as well as the political mucky-mucks. Nothing changes if nothing changes. Our system is built on discrediting and plausible deniabilities. So long as people deny that this is the actual way we tend to business, nothing will get better.
