Welp, seeing as how nothing was ever proven, I'd have to say you're pretty much wrong.

    Was the guy creepy? Sure.

Child molester? Never proven, despite many, many years of trying.

OJ was found not guilty in criminal court as well. I guess that makes him innocent too. Jackson did pay hundreds of thousands if not more to his victims families.......that's just the ones we're aware of.

    *puts on Thriller*

At his height, MJ was the biggest pop star in the world, and while he was clearly a nut later in life, I really do think he should and will be remembered as one of the best pop musicians ever.

In one case alone he paid 10 million bucks to the family of some kid. Which frankly was chump change for him. The damage of just an allegation could (and did) cost him a lot more.

Did he behave inappropriately, open himself up to this sort of thing? Absolutely. But did he molest or rape a child? I dunno. It is possible that some greedy family took advantage of him, and others jumped on the band wagon to cash in.

I try like hell to separate the art from the artist. People like Elton John and MJ certainly make that difficult. But based just on his art Michael was truly amazing.

i hate to be the one to quote this, but i totally agree.
IF this was "pre-child molesting". I would rather have seen him pass as a pure legend than someone with a bad rep.

I'm a HUGE fan. I've got 30+ CDs, seen him in concert many times, etc. But he's a little bitch, a total dick. He just acts so badly...

"Lady in my life", one of his best songs ever IMO. I put it on right after I found out :(

I was a huge michael jackson fan as a kid. I heard about this while watching the previews before Transformers 2. Made the movie someone dull..

Whether you liked him or not, he was and will always be a Legend. His troubled youth (father) and clear health conditions is not an excuse about what occured later in his life, but an explanation. For me, he will be rememeberd as a man who brought millions of people memoriable and outstanding music.

My thoughts are with his family...

    RIP MJ :(
