I humbly request an artists help here. I have a fairly specific image of a villain in my head, and I know we have some good artists here. Also, I don't want to go to an art specific forum where I'd be just some newb making a request. If I gave the details of the picture in my head would anyone be up for drawing it and uploading it for me? In advance, I may get kinda picky about it, but I will be ever grateful for your work.
How about you post what you want drawn specifically. Let people here take a shot at it. Who ever draw closest to your liking pick that. Not to mention having few people draw same thing from diff prospect can be interesting.
I can try, but will understand if it isn't what you're looking for. What style would you want it in (cartoon, reallife, etc)?
HAHAHA, not quite, I think this forum is more open minded. Also, it's not nearly that sort of request, but I thought the same thing when I started posting. Essentially I am imagining a tall, lanky villain. He is calm and restrained. but during battle he is vicious, wild and unrelenting. He practices ritual scarification along his face and arms and legs. He has tattoos covering much of his body. Black hair, pale gray / ashen skin, red eyes. He carries a long sword and the scabbard is on his belt resting on his backside, rather than on his hip. His clothes are cloth and leather hides almost more like a shawl. He carries himself very limber, like his right side is heavy, almost leaning forward and to the right without looking like a hunchback. This is one of my characters I have him a little based on. But if you've seen the movie Azumi, he is a little like Bijomaru. the way his scabbard is settles looks like this and he holds his sword similarly. Some of his armor that is not the loose shawl like hide would be tighter leather like this character too. Let's start with that and see what comes up. I appreciate your interest and I look forward to your renditions. EDIT: Oh, and his cloak is black and comes around his left shoulder to attach near his collar bone, effectively hiding his left arm unless he wants to thrust the cloak aside and reveal his arm.
LOL....funny 950.... That female character has a ton of edged weapons....good lord... What kind of style are you looking for?....anime?...
Pretty much. Anime is not usually my thing, but his imagery seems to derive much from that style. A style like the female assassin would work well.
Brownish, with red / orange accents. Just the sword. He falls in the category of swordmage. One hand weapon and off hand spells kinda thing. Dude fitty, that's the shit right there. I'm gonna use that pic in the mean time.
Ok, I'm giving it a go now. I'll post the basic sketch when I'm done so you can change anything you dont think fits your idea.
Here is what I have so far. I'm not satisfied with the face or the hands...and the legs/pants are iffy. I'll probably end up re-drawing it. This time bigger. Tell me what you'd like to change (if anything) e:you cant really see it, but there are scars and tattoos on his face, and a few scars on his arms.
Ok the runes are badass. Awesome find and addition. I'm going to let you take artist's rendition from here on if I can only ask one thing. Can we make his shirt look more like layered leather hides? Oh and move the sword hilt to his right side, he draws it from it's sheath underhanded, instead of reaching across his body. So far, awesome though. I appreciate your help.
